Rwd cams are not swapable on Fwd motors but.FWD cams will swap onto RWD motors. Think about It And you will figure It out

qr is a p.o.s. and always will be
qr has such a bad rep. back in 07 when i was shopping for a new Frontier i remember telling the sales guy i wouldn't even CONSIDER the QR equipped XE. reason being all that i had read on the various nissan related forums over the previous 5 years. the look on his face was priceless. so, i drove home that day with the very smooth and powerful vq40de equipped SE.

Isn't the 2JZ-GTE a great motor? Why did toyota stop making it? See where I'm going? ALl good things must come to an end to make room for newer and "better" things.

All good things do come to an end thats why the QR was made. Nissan made a mistake anf It is ok to admit It. They Just chose the wrong motor to replace the legendary SR.

I could have sworn the rwd cam set that I pulled out of my buddies motor had the slot for the distributor on the exhaust cam just like the fwd cams. That would be the only reason you couldnt use one or the other.

Dont know if the aftermarket tomei and hks cams used blanks with the slot either. I figured they did but again could be wrong.

If just talking about emissions. I think one of the reasons the QR burns cleaner is because the Cat is so close to the Head. But almost every QR I know doesn't even have Cats anymore. .

I think the spec v was a joke from nissan to the tuner world, im having a hard time undrstanding how some people are trying to defend the qr im not a master tech nore do i tend to be one. but one thing i can say is that the spec v is a slow car reason for me saying that is back in high school i had my gsr and would stomp all over spec v's.

spec vs give ser's a bad name once i bought a ser i remeber telling everyone the car i got(91ser) and everyone was like wow you got a spec v and multiple times i was like NOOOO its a real ser.

I always see young kids driving them, kids who dont know about cars or dont care much.

and as for i rather have a srt over a spec v i think the srt is way over the spec v class.
i rather have a corrola XRS then a spec v any day....
