Well, money issues have changed what I'm going to be able to do... Bought another engine for 250 and did a leakdown test on it today and was just horrible... Going to have to rebuild the block thats in there.. Going to try and drop the oil pan saturday so I can check the condition of the rods / crank

Now the question is, Why did my engine sound choked after 7k rpm's? Would installing a highport cam help with that?

Do your self a favor and just find a good de. The time it takes to tear it down, clean it, replace the seals, then reassemble and tq everyhing is time spent on better things! I will never open another de up in my life. Its a waste of time unless you just CAN NOT find another good condition de.

A stock SR20's horspower peak is around 6400 rpms, after that power drops. If you're shifting after that peak you're wasting your time and loosing the race.
