Well I was going to check the local junkyard before spending the cash hopefully I can find something for cheap.

Sidenote how much of a PITA is it to do the distributor on these cars ?

Picked up a used distributor today going to swap it out tomorrow after work hopefully that will fix the problem. Thanks again for everyones help and suggestions so far.

pretty easy its just a slot that has a slight curve to it, it only goes in one way so if its not going dont force it it just rotate it if u still cant get it, loosen the 12mm bolts a little and try again
