I already tried going up to a 150 shot, but had isssues. I've found several things that needed attention and plan on trying the 150 shot again asap when the tracks open back up. I've been thinking lately that I might go ahead and do a progessive shot, start at 150 and ramp up to 250.

found this post from me in 2007.

my nx weights 2380 with out me in it if i remember correctly. i still have a bit more weight reduction to finish up once the weather gets warmer, and i may possibly get some cf in place of the glass in the t-tops threw a cf shop. i want to substantially get my weight down cause i will soon be tossing in a cage.

i was turbo at the time, fmic set up also irrc, i had just a cf hood and a gutted semi gutted rear.

i know have a a diff cf hood that is a bit lighter, a cf lexan hatch, fully gutted rear with sound deading removed. my rims should also be lighter. i added a autopower cage and am back to all motor wich weighs less then a turbo set up with a fmic. i also cut my front bumper support in half so to speak to accomidate the big fmic i had on it.

im gonna guess im 2300. deff no more, im thinking it may be less. this spring im gonna have to really start removing some weight. id like to get it down to your guys weights say, 2000 would be great. i bet if i removed the cage that would trim alot of weight out, but i like the safety the cage brings to the table.

im going to remove the rug and remove sound deading from the front of the car, and just paint on rino liner in the foot weels. maybe a lighter battery then my redtop optima.

i have a spare set of t-tops that i may remove the glass from, and just get a piece of lexan from lowes, cut to size and reinstall. this should trim a fair ammount out of the car and remove some weight from the top inturn lowering the cg.

i dont want to basterdise the car though, its still a street car at the end of the day.

to top it all off i weighed 170 or so in 07, 5 years later im 220 and climbing lol.

Bumping this up!

Hows the car coming along? Any other weight reduction? Trying to get another 100lbs out of mine. Came in at 1990lbs with 3/4 of a tank but still have a decent amount of crap to unbolt and pull off the car.

It's coming along pretty good right now. Still need to pull another degree or two of timing out for the nitrous, but it's running GREAT with the new bin that haulin200sx posted. Haven't done anything else weight wise though. Haven't even put those seats in, since I need to make brackets for them. Here's a couple vids I did yesterday.

The car felt great at the track. 2nd gear feels great. I didn't get a chance to try it on the street yet. Hoping to put it on the road this week if I can and record some street pulls with my girl in it. She can't stand hearing the car idle outside so the reaction shoud be nice.

I honestly thought the car would be more like 1900 and change. Gunna get under it this weekend and remove extra weight. I need it to be under 1900lbs!
