Probably will hold on to 1 b13 for the rest of my days. Every year that passes more and more of them meet their end. I've learned so much because of owning one. I recently test drove a 08 Civic SI Sedan its kind of sad to say but my track NX with a stock JDM DE and a light flywheel had similar pull to the SI. The si is a boat. It screams at like 6k and up but I just don't feel that is all that much fun.

Its a special thing when you look back at your car and it always puts a smile on your face.

b13 owners are....b13 owners. end of story. I hunted up and down for a clean nx, found a good one, fixed EVERYTHING that was wrong with it, added boost, and daily the shit out of it at 35 mpg, with t tops for the summer. rust free, undercoated, waterproof and 250+ hp daily driver, 3 spare motors, 2 spare transmissions, 1 spare turbo. yeah, ill be keeping it for a while.....till it rusts to death or worse.

Forever! I still enjoy talking to a "green" B15 owner and explaining to them that my B13 actually is an SE-R, the first year of production, and it way cooler than their B15 SE-r, and stooopid fast to boot. hA! Not to mention all the times at the drag strip when the announcer exclaims " What the hell is that thing?!" after whooping up on everybodys' V8 street cars. too many good times to ever sell it.

I'm planning to keep my b13 for a long time to come. Bought it brand new in October of 1992. Since then I have been through 11 other cars. Civics, Miatas, Hyundais, Saabs Infinitis but I could never bring myself to sell my b13.
Granted right now it's still sitting with a blown engine in the garage, (just don't have the time to get her going) the car looks like new with zero rust. In fact, the car still smells the same way it did as new!

When you own a car for this long it really does become a part of your life. The days and nights spent fixing, modding, washing, racing, road trips and endless miles cruising up and down the local strip in it. Let's not forget the many friends I've made because of it and the girls over the years I "took for a ride" in it - while parked. All of these come back in a flash the second I open the door and sit in my car.
I was a much different person back when I bought it as 18 year old me. Now 38, married, house, job, kid on the way my life is great yet drastically different; however, my SE-R has not changed at all.
As cars become more like soul less appliances and I appreciate the simplistic and raw driving dynamics of my SE-R more and more. Sure there will always be faster and better but non will ever look and feel the same.

x2 LOL Everytime someone buys a new car I can't help but ask why

They figure they will have 0 problems with that car... I can buy a new engine and transmission for my car for under 1k and have them in over a weekend. I would rather replace all the parts to keep my car (if the car is worth it, unlike my b13) running right then waste money and be stuck with a car for 5-6 years... I'm 21 years old and I bought my first car 3 years ago to this date and crashed it, bought another one then bought my b13 and have had it for 2 years... b14 for 9 months. I get tired of cars so fast that having to stick with one would KILL me..
