If I can get myself a clean b13/b14 soon I don't think it'll ever see another owner.

I know how you feel except it is for my B14. I slightly loathe the car just because the beam makes me rather upset for what I want it to be capable of. I drive my first SE-R still daily now and have clocked just over 110k on it. Never let down, once. I have not had that kind of reliability in some relationships with other people! Amazing.

I also have terrible rust and it is making it depressing to see it.

I would rather drive the P10 over a B14 all day long, but I am attached to my upside down bath tub, that is for sure.

I don't thin I'll ever sell it, the only way it will leave my possession is on the back of a flat bed mangled to hell or rusted apart. I've had my SE-R 3 years next week. I bought it with 183k on it, it's sitting at 228k right now, and has pretty much been sitting the last 5 weeks waiting for the guy at the fucking body shop to finish it, again. Right now it's not piratical for me to get rid of it after I've put so much time into it, not necessarily money, it's not really modified much, but pretty much completely rebuilt The only things left for me to replace are the ball joints, a couple of suspension bushings, my PS system and the engine. Everything else has pretty much been replaced in the past 18 months.

I did just buy a complete long block for it that I think I'm going to do a 170ish WHP build on then toss it on it, when do drop the engine in I'll be replacing everything else I just listed to so then it will be basically a brand new car

The only vehicle I've owned longer is my SS, I've had it 5 years, but it's only seen 9k miles in that time lol.

See I'm backwards on the garage space. I didn't have one till I bought my house in 08. Now my car has it's own place inside away from the weather to hang out and chill. On nice days, it comes out to play, otherwise it's cozy.

Good thread btw

Se-rican will always keep his b13 for sure.

I've own my b14 since 03. Bought it as a daily and now its a garage queen. Once my Subaru Forester is paid off (3-4 years of payements left) then I'll replace the b14 with a 370z unless I just don't want a payment anymore. When its time to sell the b14, If I don't get what I want, I'll just hold on to it.

I also have a b15 with 250k that I use for work and plan to own for as long as I can. If I have to replace that car someday, I'm thinking 05 corolla xrs.

haha i've owned 8 b13's, 4 of which were se-r's. I still have my first and second se-r's. they both are a part of my family. I remember when I bought my first se-r. I've had 2 sentra "E" models, and have never even seen an se-r before. My buddy matt "cagaloir07" was telling me I should get one.. went on a trip to GA, saw one for sale at a gas station. test drove it and feel in love, bought it.

I even have names for all my cars. after all, they are family. for a while I treated them as pets. I feed hondas to "bambuh" all the time.. tasty little treats. I'm 3rd owner of both my current sentras.

Anyone else name em? or am I dumb? My grey one is "popsicle", cuz when I bought it, ($250, 90k original, I'm 3rd owner), put an engine in it, and checked everything. A/C was super cold on that hot summer day...

I wish I would have had the opportunity to buy a b13 se-r new. That would have been awesome. My first nissan that got me into the whole scene was my 92 nx1600 autotragic digital cluster yellow pearl metallic nx that I bought in 98. Thats when i first started reading all about the se-r and when my buddy peter that bought his 96 200sx se-r back in 98 as well, smoked the living crap out of me one night during cruise night. It was through these cars like Rob said that I met all of my best friends. Its a lifestyle. I finally had the opportunity to get my se-r after I sold my nx1600 to some highschool kid. My se-r i had shipped from Ohio sight unseen other than pics. Purchased off an SR20forum member back in Feb 03.

Ill never forget the day it arrived on the freight car hauler. Guy started it up and it had rod knock immediatly noticable and was running on 3 cylinders. Pulled it off the trailer, I immediately jumped in and took it for a spin, it literally wasnt 2 minutes after owning it that i made that first pull to 7500 rpm in 1st and 2nd. The dead cylinder would kick back in about 3500 rpm. Just lacked maintenance but had alot of bolt ons on it, jwt pop charger, stillen 1st gen header, Jun ultralightweight flywheel, UR pullies, and still on stock cat and catback. Even with rod knock, and running on 3 cylinders practily it completely blew my nx1600 away in comparison. Took it to the track that same friday and ran 16.1@87mph, rod knock and all. hahahaha. After about 1000 miles on it, the knock was too bad, pulled the motor and put the jdm motor in that was already on order and at the house.

Good times, lots of great memories in the se-r both meeting friends and just exciting times. Wouldnt trade it for anything.

As long this forum exists and the body holds up I'll keep my B13 SE-R. Anything mechanical on our cars can be replaced with parts from later model Nissans.

When something breaks I just upgrade with a performance part. I have so much into it, I couldn't sell it anyway and I plan on spending more.(although sometimes I am tempted to trade for an NX2k)

Ours cars may not be the best looking or the fastest or best handling but they are FUN to drive.
I just swapped in an NX1600 power steering rack and the tighter turning radius makes it even more fun.
