I plan on keeping my b13 till march... 2 more months, owning it for a total of 2 years and 1 month! Going to be retiring the old thing and hopefully get 1500 out of it *crosses fingers*

My B14 however, now that is a keeper until it gets totaled or something lol

im only on #2, and have plans for another. my 1st one was stolen while number 2 was getting worked on. #3 might be a complete stocker. but i wont ever find a clean B14 as clean as my current one for the price i get her, so she aint going no where. and when i get a garage she will have a spot for sure...

on a side not i dont think we all own only B13s or B14s, i have plans for a G35 or something a little newer. but the SER isnt going anywhere...

As much as I wish I could have kept my b13 after about 6 years, it was becoming too much of a fight against body work. I loved that car and look to get another when the situation is right.

Until it gets totaled out, or it gets used in the construction of a ground up rear engine tube frame locost-like car

Until it's unsafe to drive, which I hope is a long time. I have dreams for it just like all of you, but rust and lack of finances plagues me and the car. Heck, I wanted to make it into a pristine street monster and hand it down to my son one day, but who am I kidding. I'm only 23 and not even close to having kids and the SE-R has 183k on it and rusting away. Needs new tires. Bumpers are banged up. But it never ceases to put a smile on my face and I love it for that. Beat a lot of newer and higher powered cars with it. It's because of this car, my first car (92 Sentra XE), and my brother's old car (87 Sentra), that I'm partial to Nissan. I always find something that I like better on my car than all of the newer SE-Rs. Even if it isn't worth much or doesn't look good.

i think of it like this..

i own two cars, two very similar cars... i enjoy both of them... i dont mind keeping them
think about it like this... your car is the bill you can enjoy everytime you step on it.just as you enjoy your house but it comes with a mortgage.its a stress reliever. embrace it.. and dont give up on it no matter how hard it is. itll always be there.. and itll always be older then your kids.

People spend more a month on a car payment, then what I've paid for my daily b-13..

Good thread. I bought my 94 SE-R brand new, no sunroof. All by accident. Salesman tried to sell me an Altima w/manual gearbox and I almost bit. Ex and I were trading in an E model 1.6 2dr Sentra and I kinda liked the car. Didn't know what an SE-R was at the time but I liked the way it drove so after 3 hrs of haggling we got it. After 3 days the ex didn't like it and wanted me to trade it in for another car. Tough shit, b*tch. The moments that my SR mistress made me happy from that day on lasted longer than the ex did. She sits in the garage now with a VE transplant since '04 and has absolutely no rust anywhere with next to none dents or scratches on 1x repaint KH3. Spent way too much to have a very clean B13 but every penny was worth it. She stays with me for life. Bought her twin 91 in '03, Maaco paint and all but had a fresh 10:1 JDM DE that ran like a raped ape. No rust, 3rd owner straight body panels & KH3 too. This one has a sunroof that I use to this day as I race the 91 on the road course. VE powered as of 2 months ago, she puts a smile on my face just as big as her garage queen sister. A man and his car is a bond that most people wouldn't understand especially a Sentra. Those who own one and have made friends and have had awesome moments with these cars throughout the years, young or old can relate to the magic that they brought to most on this and the other forums. Those that remember the SE-R Mailing List and the gurus that posted there know what I mean. Not too many of these cars are left, especially clean & rust free. IMO we are really driving Classics even though most people wouldn't even think of owning one because they didn't look decent even when brand new. Car & Driver top 10 all 4 years the B13 SE-R was made has to say something special about what magic these cars had. It was ahead of it's time when it first came out especially for the price. Didn't mean to ramble, one of the best things I ever did in my life was to buy one of these. Now that I have 2 of them I'm twice as happy with my choice. As with Shawn B, I'll probably end up buried with them. Both cars are fast, fun and to me, family. At 54 I'm gettin' a little slower working on them but I'll be the only one to do it, bet on that.
