Thread: sentra e 4 spd trans dipstick?

where the heck is the trans dipstick located at? trying to change the trans fluid but cant find it. any help? this thing is pissing me off!!!

right next to the blinker fluid

there isnt one. pop the drain plug. drain it, put drain plug back in. find the fill plug remove it and fill. youll know when its at the right level when you can stick your finger in the fill plug and touch the top of the tranny fluid.

i cant find the fill plug either. there a little pipe plug thingy on top on the tranny but i dont think its the fill plug since the pipe is so small!!

search for changing trans fluid, plenty of pics and steps in those threads to help.

thats just the vent.

the fill plug should be on the front but on the side, not on the top.

lay down and look at the bottom of the tranny, it should be on the bottom, not the dead bottom but low down on the side.

just keep looking its there.

thanks guys. found where it was located. so do i just keep filling until i feel inside the hole that the fluid is enough or what? the autozone guy told me that 2 quart is enough??

well that autozone guy is not very smart and fill it till it comes out usually around 4qts
