Which is the best final drive gears for a B14 sentra race car with a SR20DE engine NA?

Ehhh be more specific "Race car" has a lot of meanings. 1/4 , 1/8, time attack, wangan monster, light to light, beating mustang type race car???? all will need the "best" final drive gear for the application... so refine what style racing and then we can answer.

David, i'm sorry. I am from Peru and i don't know how you defined races with 3 rounds of 15 laps each. The circuit is 2.2 km. In this category i compete with other cars like Toyota Levins 20V, hondas civic...

I've post this question because in december i have competed in a race with a 4.204(i'm not sure) and i need a much better one. The car has the power but the gears on 3rd and 4rd are too long

Doh... forgot about circuit racing...the way you asked the question was really vague, circuit is similar to time attack.... so you are using a stock SE-R SR20DE trans from a B14 chassis and need shorter 3rd and 4th gears for the track. What is the highest RPM you get to in 4th though on the circuit?

Here is a link to a PDF that contains all the info you need for your gear selections etc. If you need quicker acceleration, consider running a smaller tire size, otherwise the next fastest gear set would be a trans from an SR16VE, or convert to 6 spd and get really nice acceleration due to the shorter gear ratios.

Because of the category rules, the max rpm is 8,000 and the tire size is 205/50/15. About the 6spd we can't.

I have seen a 4.785 final drive gear. Do you know about it?

Thank you AaronNX, that's the one i've heard. Do you know if it's a good one for circuit race car? Does anyone have some experience with these final drive gears?

I don't have any personal experience, but I've read alot about it, and I think it would help you out yes. I plan on getting one myself, and I drag race my car.
