Maybe somebody needs to copy the SSAC over here. Improve its flaws make it in an American business. Sell them for a reasonable amount. Nothing like Hotshot money though.

Wait a minute. So the original SSAC was American made? If so how does one get one?

Shawn- Knowing how much care, appreciation and money you put into your se-r I don't know why you wouldn't get a better made, better performing header... It is the key to making good power on the ve and can be super blingtastic, lol. Why go so far as to swap to a ve and not use a good header. A used Fuji recoated would be a good option for you also. You can have a custom one made for much less than I have seen you spend on other parts for your car that I don't think are as important. If I remember correctly it was ground clearance that you were worried about? Talk to Supercowboy, he should be able to make you a header for your car with decent ground clearance that will out perform an ssac copy all day. Not that your car isn't one of the nicest, cleanest se-rs around but that would put the icing on the cake. If you are going to use an ssac, just keep the one you have and get it coated if the look it what you are looking for by buying a new one. Just my opinion. Take a ride in a similar setup that you are planning if possible with a nicely made header and you will be surprised the power and much better powerband a nice header has to offer.

It is my opinion that the companies advertised in publications such as Grassroots and SportsCar are reputable and mostly American, whereas SCC and ugh...Super Street etc. are no better than surfing on Ebay. Just my .02

As you know, I would rather sacrifice a bit of horsepower, than 100% daily-driving full-functionality. No low-hanging "banging on road hazards" exhaust or header need apply.

I will take your two (2) suggestions under very serious consideration.

Back to our regularly scheduled program...
