p11 and sr20 fwd handling
Okay this kind of thing has been done on many different forums but I wanted input from people on this forum. I am looking at a 2002 p11 and wondering how it compares in handling terms to an NX2000 (my current car). I know it has better suspension design but it is 500lbs heavier. Also how would those with experience rank it against the Integra and Mazdaspeed protege or even the Mini. These are all most frequently mentioned best fwd cars in terms of handling.

Thanks.

B13 vs the P11 is pretty much a loss. Front suspension on the P10 and P11 is far superior, but the P11 solid beam rear axle is not as good as the irs of the B13. Plus a P11 is, as you already know, the heaviest car that came from the factory with an SR20. So, no, in this man's opinion a P11 does not handle better than an NX. And I have owned multiple B13's, a B14, a B15, a couple P10's, and I have driven a P11

Yeah I was thinking of putting my turbo swap in the p11 which would take care of the power to weight ratio and I could always get the beam bent. I just want a car that handles well. can a p11 with a bent beam hang with an MS protege?. They are pretty heavy.

No fightin here, just the truth. I think a P11 might make the best daily driver, although I personally prefer the P10. It is hard to overcome several hundred pounds of extra vehicle to drag around.

Take a deep breath kids, it is simply my opinion. That and $5 will get you a Starbucks.

Back to the topic at hand :] Ok I am basically looking for a second car so My nx can become a mostly hpde/autox car and I thought the p11 would be great as I can use my turbo swap in it to fix the lack of power problem and they are a great looking car.
However I know that I would need a obd2 to obd1 step down. Also apparently there are MAF issues with the newer p11's. I am I wasting my time trying to get another fwd to handle?
