I do wonder if the modification required for the P11/B15 swap isn't being done entirely correct. The grinding of the shift shafts can affect the shifting drastically. I also had a urethane bushing as well.

Wheel hop cracks the case, period. Sheer power will not crack the case at least not the power than your planning on making or that most people are making.

The gears are going to break if you throw enough at them.

There are dissadvantages to the p11 and b15 trans. They are notchy as hell, they dont like to be quick shifted at all, most of the time its like your hitting a wall trying to shift if you go anything quicker than slow on the shifts. I hated my buddies VE b14 with a b15 trans. Its really annoying especially when your racing, missing 2nd and 3rd all the time sucks.

The b13 and b14 trans shift way way smoother. Yeah they are not as solid as the b15 and p11 trans but its not that much of a difference. Even with a 6262, if your fairly easy on the trans, use valvoline 85w140 either in conventional or Durablend and use a sprung clutch disk, the trans will still last you a long time.

thanks bro i didnt know that info on p11/b15 trannies thats good to know now thanks alot

Im not disagreing with ashton on the 'welding the case 'and 'cryo' being a wate of time and money but atleast welding is cheap and if you have the trans out already then why not for extra insurance on the case Just my 2 cents .
And have you priced out p11/b15 trans ? They are going for twice as much as a b14/b13 . So expect to pay $700-1k for a p11/b15 . B13/14 are in the ball park of $250-300.

I am actually experiencing shifting problems in my B15 now. If i shift very quickyl into 3rd gear while in vvl it grinds. If i slightly hesitate it doesn't grind. If i shift quickly into 3rd while not in vvl it doesn't grind. I am using exedy clutch and pressure plate, fidenza flywheel and redline mt90. I actually just purchased 2 liters of mt 90 and one liter of shockproof heavy which i am gonna mix to hopefully prevent the grinding issue.

This is how I tune. 3rd gear pulls. On the street, all day long, over and over again. 237 WTQ for your information. I've never had 3rd gear fail under this scenario (or ever in fact) even after 20+ 3rd gear pulls back to back to back to back. You must be dealing which much more torque than I am. Dealing with twice the intended torque over and over again in the weakest gear doesn't qualify as "junk" to me, let alone "total junk". I admit, they aren't as strong as others, but we deal.
