Ashton, I do not drag race. Do not quick-shift or whatever you are describing.
I will agree that the B15 tranny is not as "snick-snick" precise and light as shifting a B13 tranny. It took an initial bit of slight adjustment. No more than if you change from a factory flywheel to an aftermarket lightweight aluminum flywheel.
At the same time, I think you are overstating the issue outside of drag racing. I won't argue drag racing with you, your area of expertise.
For daily-driving the vehicle the way you should with an SE-R, quickly, decisively, and hitting red-line, the B15 tranny has been just fine. I do not miss shifts, even when heel-and-toe downshifting (which I practice a lot) or when I am winding it out and seeing just how fast I can get up to freeway speeds.
I cannot remember the last time I missed a shift of any sort.
And I will take the durability, beefiness and reliability of a B15/P11 transmission over a B13/B14 transmission any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
