Here is the "OEM" cable that broke on me, almost got me fired because it made me late for work, and lost a half days pay, POS cable. The other aftermarket cable I purchased, on the bell housing side of the cable the pin popped out, but I have no pictures of that sorry. The "oem" cable was installed for 5 months before it failed and the aftermarket was in for 50 miles before it failed.

Where did you buy it from? My oem b13 cables do not look anything like that. I got mine from the dealership and have had no issues. I had one snap but it was from advanced.

Gotta check the see if the little roller is on the hook for the pedal before you leave the parts store....the super cheap ones just have the rivet but decent and oem ones have a little roller over the rivet to help things not bind up....i lube that as well as the cable itself

How heavy of a clutch do you have? I mean, its a cable clutch... not supposed to be having to put your whole hip into it. Might want to change out your pressure plate, or do a hydro conversion if there is that much force to move the clutch pedal. But ya I agree that steel piece is too thin and that's what caused it to do that, never seen any wear on mine, are you lubing it up very well when you install them?

you have it too tight. the ONLY time the attachment points failed on me was when i had it to tight and it got really cold over night (cold shrinks the cable) the cable would over extend, and pop either end.

i bet its not to heavy. when the cable is adjusted to short the leverage at the very end of the pedals throw is enough to rip the cable apart with minimal extra effort.

I went through 3(iirc) cables in 4 months. JGY Pressure plate was failing and getting harder and harder to engage. Changed pressure plate and issues gone. Make sure to lube cable with lithium grease at least.
