Failing clutch cables
Yea me again with another problem, The car keeps snapping clutch cables, has there been any solution to this problem over the years? The New OEM cable I just installed just broke on me, the part that latches onto the clutch pedal failed. Bought a doorMan (JUNK) replacement from advance auto, the part that latches onto the clutch lever on the trans failed......F*CK MAN! The funny thing is the after market clutch, I am using is just as soft as stock does not make sense. Is it improper adjustment on my part, is the parts they are producing today just junk you tell me. There are guys running twin disk clutches and their cables ain't snapping what are you guys doing that I ain't?

i dont see this popping up with OEM cables at all, so i'm not sure we solved anything 'over the years' when the problem doesn't happen frequently to begin with. So likely, when you're installing these cables, something's going wrong. Either poor routing, wrong orientation or incorrect tension. Check the FSM if you aren't sure on any of that.

Hell it could be alot of things, but to get any help from us you're going to need to do more troubleshooting. With your questions as of late, it's too vague to draw a reasonable conclusion because you're simply saying it happens and leaving it at that. You aren't rolling any ideas around, you aren't performing any troubleshooting before asking, you're just assuming we know exactly what's going on. I know personally, I've been more than patient (especially when you say you're missing a ton of bolts by a motor mount but don't replace them and keep asking). So here's my suggestion right now. Get some more details, double-check everything, and pictures (especially here) are a huge plus. I read your post above and honestly you're going to need to do some more troubleshooting and be meticulous no matter what you do. Note anything that seems odd, give details on the cable and clutch you're using, and if it snaps again pay close attention to what happened, when it happened, and anything related. Snap some photos of what you see so we can see it too.

If you aren't good at this troubleshooting thing, ask someone who is. Troubleshooting is a big reason why mechanics get paid what they do at many shops. Anyone can turn a wrench, but it takes time and training to know what's going on to be able to fix it properly. Bear in mind you're doing this over a forum vs in person, so that makes conveying the issue 100x harder, so anything you can do to make it easier will get a better answer faster.

This may seem rude, but honestly I want to help but I'm sick of playing 20 questions with you. And honestly, you're the only one I have this issue with.

You may have just got a bad oem cable or have a bad adjustment on the cable. I have had my oem cable in my classic for about 3 years of daily driving and about 10 track events and it's still as solid and smooth as the day I put it in the car.

You may want to lube the cable conduit, if you haven't already. You may be binding up inside the conduit causing unnecessary friction. I use Cable Life every 6 months or so. Cable Life Lubricant - Protect All

Instead of using the injector gizmo it comes with, I simply squirt it down the conduit and then use compressed air to blow it through the line. You may also want to check to make sure the clutch lever and throw out bearing are in good working order.

You might have a bad ground causing it to ware faster.

There also might be a problem with your clutch or something inside the transmission. Don't rule that out if you are consistently snapping cables.

Been there,done that.
You gotta use OEM Nissan cables only, dude.
All aftermarket cables are a FAIL waiting to happen the minute you install them.
Thats one of those things you gotta just suck it up and pay Nissan's prices(..or I should say GregV's price, lol)
...or you can keep buying the cheapos and scratching your head(or get stranded a few times along the way, too)
