okay...well I already did that. (The taper plugs, etc. I need the info for pic number one...see that nipple sticking up??? Should I just block that off?

I see it now. That port you should block off to be safe, yes. Although, you could follow it and maybe find out where it goes and maybe remove even more stuff. =D
as for the AIV thingie...That's the thing hooked to the bottom curve of the exhaust manifold...lotsa people with headers get rid of it because of the tube not lining up right.

Well...the install/uninstall is finished. I went the relatively easy route and did not reroute lines. I have pics and a detailed write up, which I believe is sorely needed on this forum as opposed to the more complicated diagrams of vacuum rerouting.
