It makes me cringe a little at the thought of that. think that mount can take that kind of abuse?

Probably can, but the only time I'd use one is a track/drag car. It's going to feel like shit in a road car.

Especially if your using a stock 5 speed trans i would highly highly advise against a completely solid rear mount. Hell i wont even do it with the 6 speed trans.

The stress that is placed on that mount during launching and during hard shifts is up there and on an already weak 5 speed bellhousing your just asking to crack the case with a solid mount whether it be on a hard launch or during a hard shift. Not only that your more prone to break your 3rd or 4th gear as well. The rear mount absorbs a lot of shock during launches and hard shifts.

Again mine is a full out drag car and i wont do a solid rear mount even on the much stronger p12 6 speed bellhousing. I prefer to have that peace of mind and cusion there. Only solid mount I run is the front dogbone which will more than do the job to keep the motor still but either way that diff side of the trans is still gonna try to dip down during launches and during hard shifts.

I can make you one and have one in my car, with no problems so far...of course my dogbone isn't solid. Running just the opposite Ashton.

Have you ever been in a B13/14 with a solid rear mount? With all of the stiffer mounts and suspension many of our cars already have that feel. I have hyperco gen2s which makes for a shit ride when cruising. Bolted my crossmember solid, and made F & R solid mounts myself. I have to say that the vibrations are more noticeable than just a solid front mount and C-member. I had ES inserts before, and the rear was the last solid mount to be installed. I didn't really notice much difference. At idle it vibrates pretty steady, but driving you can't really tell. I'd say just do a solid front and get some regular bolts and misc washers to bolt the C-member down. You just dont realize what a difference those two will be until you do them.

Here's the solid front for 30 shipped

No I have not, but at this point I am aggravated with my current mount issues.....which by the way I am running a solid dogbone mount surrounded by full prothanes.....just that one in the back keeps wearing out and at $30 a pop I'm looking for other options. Comfort does not concern me as much as most people. The funny thing is that I'm n/a and the motor is stock yet I'm having mount issues.

What are you using this car for? Drag? GT3 racing? Or is it just a DD? If your rear mount is wearing out like you say I'd find the problem rather than do something that will likely break.

The car will be used as a daily driver/a little spirited driving on weekends ..Well I'm assuming it's my rear mount after removing all mounts and inspecting them the rear mount was the only one that showed wear. The area of the bushing surrounding the metal sleeve appeared to stretch and it shows a 1/8 inch gap so under load I know this thing is stretching out to 1/4 inch wide under load. This is the second rear mount that I have installed, both have done the same thing. Since the motor clearly feels like it's moving front to back this is the only thing I can think of that might be the cause of the problem.....
