Thread: broken clutch???

so this morning i was driving my kid to school and on the way home i hear this loud pop and all of a sudden being in gear acts like it's in neutral.....i can shift between all gears and everything feels fine....clutch pedal too.....just won't go....i can shift with no clutch pedal like it's not running while it's running.

any ideas???
i'm thinking the clutch disk or something inside the tranny =(

broken clutch disc . same thing happened to me 2 clutches in a 3 month span so i went with a solid hub disc .

no sir....acts like the car is off when shifting.....slips into every gear while the car is running....clutch in or out....no noises at all....i can still hear the TOB rattling and it's been doing that since i got it

before my recent clutch install . same problem car on and able to shift into gears no clutch . before that happen i had springs popping out but that caused the gears to grind . wen i bought the car my TOB rattled . since i put a new cltuch n resurfced the flywheel car has been running great n no TOB rattle .

could be but it happened to me and wen a spring popped out it made my gears grind . happened twice to me .

third time the center of the disc completely broke off causing the same issue he has now .

maybe u need to put that spec clutch in lol

that happened to me when i broke my axle. i never tried shifting without the clutch while it was running but im sure its the same symptoms. If you have a lsd tranny you can probably test it by putting it in gear and if it moves really slow at 3000 rpm its probably the axle and if it doesnt move at all its the clutch hub. Just a thought
