Bracket that holds throttle came off kickpanel/firewall
Has anyone else has the bracket that holds the gas pedal come off the chassis? I will post a pic when I get home. It looked like it was tac welded on.

Never heard of that happening before. All of those little brackets are tac welded. If you don't have access to, or want to weld it back you could always just Drill a small hole through it and bolt it to the firewall. Did just that one side pop off?

I've had the clutch pedal mount crack out and break off the firewall, are you missing the stop that goes under the gas pedal that keeps it from being pushed too far? If so, that could be why this happened. Take it to a body shop and have it welded back on, to save you some money pull the carpet back yourself and remove anything flamable around the pedal for them...

Well, for now I put some JB Weld there as a temporary fix. I will get it welded back on later (if I remember) after the wheel well restoration. And yes, the rubber was there.

Just the left side. I put JB weld on the bottom and on the sides.

Oh, I forgot, one thing you can use is panel bonding adheasive and some self taping screws would be somewhat permanant too...the JB weld will have to be ground out before welding later.
