hesitation under partial throttle
ok so i have a 91 b13 jdm de hot shot gen 6 header 3 in vrs exhaust no cat stillen pop charger,about a week ago something got wet in a bad rainstorm we had and car had trouble starting.thought it was the maf so i changed out car started fine.about 3 days ago car started getting a hesitation at about 15% throttle and under full throttle around 4800 to 5400 rpms does the same thing.to describe the noise would be like it has a misfire at those times.checked tps voltage everything is good knock sensor is hooked up no CELs,maf has been regrounded.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuel pump maybe going bad.

I had the same issue. Turns out the spark plug wires had corroded and fused inside the distributor cap. I would start there.

Yes I had a wire issue too a while back. Mine were leaking voltage, and grounding out. Could be plugs and distributor cap/rotor too.

ok swapped and fuel pump and no change.will check the plug wires to the cap cause i only checked inside the cap didnt unplug the wires and rotor button is good.thx guys will let you know in morning what i find.

Damn i just rebuilt my motor and i was having idle and throttle issues. I regrounded the maf and now my throttle is very nice but the idle is still off so tomorrow im gonna check for vacuum leaks. Good luck, let us know

ok so checked every part of my ignition system and fuel system,but when i changed my coil to eliminate problems when i put the old one back on it wont start...and now its getting spark but its flooding out?any ideas guys?

Could be possible that you got the pick up wire wrong? I'm currently troubleshooting somewhat of the same problem as far as breaking up under load. Got new wires and plugs, that got rid of a rough idle (duh haha). Still breaking up and running crazy on the wideband. Going to replace the rotor now, got the part on the way. I'll let ya know if it changed anything.

i've pretty much narrowed it down to a short somewhere guess ill be disecting a harness and or replacing it.

Sounds like a bad distributer. Check the codes. It may not come up, but sounds like my old issue.
