I do have 2.5" header on it now, I also want to advance the timing but they say that you have be idle @ 1000 rpm, my car never goes lower than 1500, wil that give me problems when advancing?

Not sure about that bro.

Put some ngk iridium plugs in your sr20de.

best bang for the $ for me would be an sr20ve swap + heavy duty clutch when you have enough $.

Why don't put your sr20de turbo, could be a quick car, but like i said upgrade the clutch, for me a clutch is the best mod.

I hate slipping clutch and most oem clutch.

I also have ngk iridium plugs and I am bouncing the idea of a ve or turbo, car has 173,000 and runs strong. Don't want to turbo it and have it creat lots of problems. But back to the timing will it hurt it if I adjust the timing when its Idle at 1500rpms. Could it be idleing so high b/c its breathing better with the 2.5" headers and 2.5" exhaust?

Fix your idle, it shouldn't be that high, at least after the engine is warm. Depending on how far you do end up going with your timing, remember you'll need higher octane gas too.

What kind of chip do you have? Is that why it is idling so high?

I already run 91 oct b/c of chip, its a volvo chip, I never considerd the chip causing it to idle high. When cold it fires up at 2000 rpm and drops to 1500 IAC possibly, cleaned throttle body and adjusted idle all the way down.
