Thread: Wire Harness Installation?

Hey guys Im having trouble finding where the plugs connect to on the engine and the bay from the wire harness , i searched the forums and couldnt really find what i was looking for on how to put the install the wire harness of my 97 200sx SER. They all have these crazy diagrams that i just dont understand. Does anyone know where i can find just a picture of all of them hooked up or if someone could give me a description that would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if its a stupid question but its the only thing stopping my car from getting on the road.

It's all really simple man. Plugs are grouped together a few here and there. It's hard to screw them up. Just lay the harness out. You have 3 on the mani at the front of the engine for the idle control, 2 below that for temp sensors, 2 on the back of the block for oil sender and knock sensor. etc.........Just count the plugs and look at the harness. most you can only put on one way so you can't mix them up. I can't walk you through it. Got to go to work now.

You need a FSM. The plugs are grouped together but some plugs are used in several places that are close to each other. you have the main harness then the left and right engine harness. Even with the fsm it can be a little confusing.

Try connecting as much as you can then post pictures of what you're not sure about and we'll help.

alright here we go:

last picture is for the alternator harness

4th picture you have the maf wiring (yellow) a injector plug the other 2 plugs should be in the same area

5th picture is tps and i want to say something with the ignition

I see you dont have the motor in the car, connect the harness to all sensors and that stuff outside of the car on the motor. it will make your life ten times easier when you put the motor back in

but anyways, other than the dude who didnt help and came on to comment for no reason, thank you guys, gonna go out and try again, ill let you know how it goes lol.
