Thread: Noise comming from motor/engine compartment

Ok, im having this weird noise coming from my engine compartment/motor and i cant figure out what it is. I thought it was the timing chain but its seems fine to me. Its making me worry that im causing damage to my motor.

Can you describe the sound? I think a little more info is needed...

Sounds like a chain running inside there

There is a chain running inside there , but seriously it may be the tensioner losing pressure, or the chain may be ticking on the top guide. Could be both as well. If you haven't removed the top guide then do it. Nissan deleted those for a good reason at some point.
