ARP studs few questions

Is there a difference in RWD and FWD head studs? Also the part number i have is 204-4204 apparently these are the newer studs that are longer and go all the way into the block. Can anyone confirm these things for me?

I'd also like to know. It'd be nice to save $85 and buy ARP headstuds instead of Mazworx.

That p/n is for vw headstuds that are the correct length to use on an sr20. It was used because the correct p/n for the Sr20 had studs that were not the right length. Now the arp p/n 102-4701 is the correct length Sr20 specific studs made out of stronger material than the vw p/n kit. That's why they cost more. Found this on a simple Google search of that p/n.

P.s. I just emailed arp to end the debate. But if you already have the studs, if they say "ARP ARP" then they are 8740, if they say "ARP 2000" then obviously it's arp 2000 material.

Okay, so apparently the new arp 102-4701 are in fact arp2000 studs, so of you buy some and they are 8740 then I would return them and ask for arp2000.

The studs in that kit are ARP2000. *"ARP2000" is stamped on the top of the stud.

If you read enough descriptions on summit youll see that they are really not that accurate with small details like that...and if they are in fact the same length, and they obv. Have to be the same threads, why would they have a different part number from arp, and cost more if they were the same material?

Why does a quarter pound hamburger cost more from McDonald's than a quarter pound cheeseburger? Life has many quaundrys such as this. Price and size have NOTHING tO do with what material it's made out of, case and point is I found the 102-4701 for $125 on google shopping, you just have to search around a little bit.

They fit but don't bottom out in the block. It's better to just get the Mazworx studs.
