i stumbled across this today. seems like a good idea. we have the same style fpr. i'ma try it just to get back to the readings it should have at 43 psi. mine runs slightly lower. i have 3 fprs so it's not an issue if it don't work.

its ghetto but it works. kinda like crushing a stock wg actuator.

Seen it done before works ok if you can hit your target fp. Tap it too hard and you are screwed. Not worth it imo due to the risks.

i didnt think it was worth the gamble either. i just bought an aeromotive fpr with boost reference and forgot about it.

Changing your fuel pressure will have a direct effect on your AFR any time you are not in closed loop mode (assuming you fuel pump is up to snuff). You might be running a little lean, or a little rich at WOT and changing fuel pressure could correct your AFR. I would not attempt this unless I was checking my AFRs with a wide band, and preferably testing output on a dyno, because changing your fuel pressure to the factory spec may or may not be what your AFRs need.

The adjustable Nismo units are cheap these days there is no excuse not to buy one. Why mickey mouse? Especially if it's a turbo car.....no me not a chance.

I wouldn't do it, especially on a turbo motor. Just get an adjustable FPR and be done with it. Or better yet, get a tunable ECU and you don't have to adjust the FPR to fine tune .



They are cheap, but they are also cheap in quality. One member, Swiss, believes the Nismo FPR killed his motor. I don't doubt it after I got my hands on one and saw how cheap it is.

I agree... seems kinda dumb. I mean Nismo FPR are worth the money and do the job fine. And it takes like 1 min to go from 0 psi to 80psi.

tried as i had an extra and it worked for what i needed just to get to proper pressure. i need a new stock one. and the nismo is 130 cheap but not in the cards right now.
