Thread: B13 LSD Axle with P11 trans

Ah, yeah thats normal. Your axle is missing the dust sheild which goes around the lip of the seal to keep dust off the sealing surface. That would normally sit in the groove of the seal but yeah you still have a 2mm gap between the large part of the axle. As long as the sealing surface is inside the seal which is the part to the left of the circled area in the picture with the angled grooves.

I just put my tranny back in and it required a lot of force to pop the drivers side axle back in... Like has been said it is that little snap ring. Like Ashton said, make sure you put the axle nut on before you try and tap the axle in (ask me how I know, it was very late).

i appreciate all the responses guys! I got my p11 trans bolted on but with a couple issues that were resolved with much effort/persistence. I'll mention it in my build thread.
