I was thinking locked up wheel bearing, but after letting it sit for a little, i drove it home slowly...

Just to give you some friendly advice if your battery hit you sub I assume it isn't held down by anything, you might want to change that.

Even a minor accident can cause the battery to become a projectile, while spewing acid from it.

wow the same exact thing happened to me a few months back. the driver side outer CV axle joint seized, locked the wheel and sent me towards the median at about 75mph.. luckily i somehow managed to not hit the median and got AAA to tow me home.

Found it. One caliper bolt broke, and the other was half out. The sparks were the caliper grinding on the wheel.

Were these stock brakes or did you do the whole swapping hub/ brake setup that you were talking about before?

Are you going to repair it? I agree with Stratt. You could find a real nice four door pretty easily. You're in Florida so the chances of finding something rust free is pretty high. Glad your accident wasn't worse. Make sure to torque down those bolts next time you're messing with the brakes.

i did the hub/brake set up i talked about. i just lost 2 caliper bolts, and replaced them with cheap ones from the hardware store. last time i do that. im repairing it.

haha yea, car is up and running after replacing a bunch of crap. im looking for a set of 16x8 wheels now to replace my messed up ones.
