If your OEM one snaps, Nissan should warranty it. Send that sucker back and get another one for free. At least then it doesn't cost you anything to change it, and you'll get REALLY good at doing it!

Doesn't sound like you're using an oem clutch cable.

I average about 6 months on a clutch cable, and I have only used OEM cables. They are lasting longer with the HD rather than the XT, but they still are only "easy" to use within the first 3 months and after that they aren't much fun.

Some of you should try greasing them up every once in a while. It makes a difference.

Alright well I got a spacer for my cable. 3/4" to 1/2" brass reducer ftw! Works fine smooth as butter. I'm assuming the cable just stretched but just in case I have a new OEM one on the way from nissan.

when i first bought my car, i snapped 4 autozone cables in 3 months. since then, i've been using oem nissan cables, and they've been lasting pretty long. haven't snapped one yet, but i think one was stretched.

OEM autozone or other auto parts is crap .

Buy only a Nissan one from the dealer. Your either installing it wrong or somthing is up cause they are not supposed to snap like that fast.

I have had 2 factory Nissan ones since i have had my white B14, never an issue. my car is Turbo and i drive hard when necessary and its still good.
ive had a HD PP and a XP PP now running a HD PP

dont tighten the crap out of it cause it will cause it to strech and brake.

Same goes for alternators Only Nissan not autoparts with warranty bullshizz.

I have been running a napa cable ($20ish) with a homemade reducer for almost 2 years and no issues, I'm sorry but i cant see spending 60$ on a oem cable. Thats crazy. I should start carrying a spare with me just in case

You know my car rodrigo. I don't know why they keep snapping but hopefully it should be good for a while.

When you use an ACT Xtreme pressure plate and your napa cable snaps once a month, you'll be spending more than $60 on all the napas!
