Alright, just making sure you werent going to use the ve harness.

the harness for the ve or the det will be from something other than a sentra or nx and will not plug into the "car"....hook right up to the engine but not the dash ect.

I haven't seen this mentioned here but there is also the transmission failure issue when you go turbo. If you don't want to worry about that at all and don't want to upgrade to a b15 transmission which is $$$$ then staying NA is the way to go.

Ever think of just getting a JDM 10:1? I have a stock JDM in my NX and its fun. Only upgrade my car has is a light flywheel. Its nice power for a daily driver.

i used to have the 10:1 sr20de red top non turbo engine in the sentra i sold, it was fun, problem is now its almost impossible to find a high port one of those anymore, guess they were imported from europe not japan and supply has pretty well dried up

I bought my VE and so far it's been a Cool Daily. Have full bolt ons, STOCK ECU tho.. I still wish i would'a bought a pulsar motor instead of the VE sometimes.. Like Chris was saying.. What makes an awesome DD is TORQUE, which it lacks, comparing the VE to DET. Now the only reason why i bought VE is because of Reliability. We all know turbo cars require more Care, but you could still make them a VERY Reliable Engine. Hope this helps..

and if your buying a DET, go BIG or Go HOME.. Pulsar DET!!
