Easy as pie, turning up the boost costs anywhere from $15 for an MBC to $200 for a used EBC. How's that compare to a VE, or any other NA engine?????

I agree that a stock det with some extra boost on a good tune is much more fun than a simple bolt on ve. Way back in the day, people used to do this all the time and not have issues, lol. You just have to know what you are doing and be thorough with the install. The main advantage of the ve vs. the det is you are probably going to be getting a newer engine with the ve and you have more potential in the long run if you want to spend money. A simple det swapped nx with supporting mods will put you deep in the 12's in the 1/4.... What will a stock cam, ebay header ve do? 14.5? It all depends on what the op really wants out of the car. If 25-30whp over the current de is enough, then ve will be easier for you and keep you happy.
