...... Im going to wait for the other guys to chime in. jdm engine zone is the way to go, all that other shit is useless, trust me us ve guys know. Didnt need any of that shit. and only sr16ve comes with the manual tranny. And no wiring harness adapter is taking care of the running rich issue, your running a de ecu in a ve car, you put the ve ecu in its made for a auto car and will not run right. The manual ve ecu is made for the 1.6 ve. Therefore PAPERWEIGHTS. You will be spending alot of money on extra shit you dont need, and then having to spend more money on the stuff you will need and not be able to sell that stuff except for scrap metal. Im just saying man, your going to get more replies like this if people bother to.

And like i said, a adapter wont make a difference, the ecu is what runs the thing, not the wires. Your current harness should mostly plug into the motor, im not as sure with a nx, but on my 200sx, everything plugged right in from my harness and ran off my stock ecu, now i have a nistune ecu and its perfect. I got my motor shipped for 890 total, and you do NOT want to use that starter, or alternator because if you read what they say, they do not gurantee that stuff is good, half the time the starter and alternators and shit are bad. And most the time the oil pans come dented, mine had just a tiney dent. If you dont go into this the right way your going to get ripped off man and have a bunch of paperweights sitting around. That was 890 shipped, west coast in washington state near canada. If you go with half these other ebay ones that dont have great feedback like engine zone, you may get a motor that is a pile of sludge, rod knock, or just a pos. Most people leave their feedback before even installing their motors on ebay.

i daily a det nx2000 and don't have any issues....no cops look at me(and they post up on my route home from work ALOT)...only thing is MPG....a full tank gets me about 200 miles or so.....my buddie has a mildly moded sr16ve and regularly gets 40mpg....for the milage sake i'd say ve but fun factor is all about det imho anyway

and sorry dan but your det was jacked up....if it had run right and wasn't in a flat black car you prolly would still be driving it...hehe

^ lol it was still decent kind of kept up with josh's ve and if the leak was fixed would of beat it at the time, but just the constant issues i was running into with the intercooler and couplers and then the hack wiring job the guy did.

jdm place has 98.9 feedback, other place has 100% so can't be that bad and yes i have had to pound pans back out before, the places in japan are not carefull how they stack the engines in the containers so imagine a lof of stuff gets broken or bent. its only $100 more for the one from canda with shipping. probably not worth the extra unless i can use the correct maf for the engine if they are different than the sr20de engine and think you have to lengthen the wires on a couple plugs and make your own throttle bracket but sounds like not to hard a swap from what i have read. i haven't bought from jdm zone beofre but i did buy metro engines from other place and all 5 were good.

You also got to think there was just a tsunami, and the stock on the west coast is going to be alot more "fresh" than the east coast. Like is said, 99% of feedback on ebay is put BEFORE the engine is even installed in the car. Countless members here have had great expereince with jdm zone, but you get what you pay for.

Also you can use stock maf and shit if your not building up, i ran a b13 maf in my b14.

At least shipping should be cheaper since it doesnt have all the useless shit come with it you dont need.Remember that useless tranny and shit all adds weight to your shipping.

I know the owner of Riworx/Japan Auto supply personally. I have been to his shop. He has shipped around the world. He has a bunch of 16 and 20 VE's in his shop as well. At one point in time he had a 20V half cut but I think he sold it. I bought my intake mani and crank pulley from him as well. He is a nice guy. He also has a B15 with an SR20VE running a SR16VE ECU with a greddy E-manage or ultimate in it so he knows a thing or two about VE's. I have never bought an engine off of him though so I can't vouch for his engines, but he was helpful whenever I had questions. I am also pretty sure a couple oh his buddies are members here, although I don't remember who...
