There is no "lowport EGR". Lowport/highport has to do with the head/intake port designs. That bung should be for the AIV. EGR is at the top on the runner closest to the distributor, then there are two lower bungs, one for the o2 sensor and one for the AIV. Some headers have it, some don't.

Thank you captain obvious for telling me where the o2 sensor goes and where I can see the egr plain as day. I just did not know what that third one was. I saw a picture somewhere on this forum that showed what looked like an egr going into that hole. It had a low port engine.....so I took a guess. It is the same size and thread of the egr. So what is an aiv anyway?

Well, the EGR plug came out of my SSAC somewhere while driving. I had previously deleted it when I had a stock mani, and just cut the EGR pipe off at the threaded plug. It looked like ass, but I just folded the pipe over itself in the hole with a hammer to seal it. I took it out of my old mani, and put it in the SSAC. You could do that temporarily until you get an actual plug for it, or get a shop to weld the hole shut on the old plug.

I figured out when I had headers, back in 2004 or so, it's the same size I think as the audi A8 drain plug. Don't remember exactly which model but I know it was audi.

Yea, it's the same size as an accord tranny drain plug too. I dont remember which year or motor, but a search on the old forum should come up with it.

So apparently there is this available from nissan.....
Plugs and tapers are two different things. I wish I could see this from the top. Anyone know for sure that this is a plug?

The EGR and the AIV bungs (top right/bottom right) should take the same size plug. I believe the Plug-taper shown above is the right one.

The 300ZX (Z32) had an AIV system installed. The AIV plug for that car should be the same size. I can't guarantee it is but....

Like the other members mentioned you can just weld it shut as you will never use it. I've also heard of guys using a nickel to plug the hole and then welding the nickel in.

You could also, if you have a tap and die set, use a tap to make the hole bigger and to the exact size you want and then get a bolt to match the tap size you just made.

I do know exactly what you are after though. The plug I have in my Hot Shot header. I could sell it for 1 million dollars, but I'm using it!
