I put a Pacesetter in the SE-L a few months back combined with TWM's A6 Leopard knob. The first thing I noticed is the ball has less slop in it compared to the stock setup. For guys that say "just raise the ball on the stock lever" you're not taken this fact into account. Also, having a weighted knob, such as the A6 makes a huge difference in feel. Just reuseing the stock knob is a mistake, imo. The second thing I noticed is you can't keep the heat shield with the ball all the way up. While that might not be a big deal for some, for me it was because I daily the car up here in the NE. I've seen melted rubber seals and rusted out shifter brackets over time from not using the shield on a daily car. Right now I have the ball about halfway and like it. It's lower than stock, but it's not one of the those stubby look setups. I did have to BFH the heat shield to get it to work but I pretty happy with the mod overall. I also had a Stillen on my old NX which was much shorter. I think for everyday, I prefer the Pacesetter.
As a side note, the TWM knobs are height adjustable and will sit about 1 1/2" lower on a stock shift lever when lowered all the way. Just pay attention to the thread size and pitch of the lever you're attaching it to. The stock lever has a different pitch than the Pacesetter. You'll need to know that when ordering a TWM knob.
