You can get stock motor mounts at pretty much any auto parts store for fairly cheap. Prothanes will actually cost you less than getting a whole set of oem type mounts. Again it all depends on what you want. In all reality the prothanes do not have that much vibration. Just slightly noticable.

you use the stock metal parts and take out all of the rubber inside of the metal and press in the new prothanes.. your next question will be how do i do that. Either can burn it out with a torch or use a press and press them out.

I put prothanes in over a year ago. There is some noticeable vibrations but nothing really noticable only at idle, and the vibrations get less intense the longer they are in the car. If you have any loose body panels or even your sunroof you are gonna want to tighten it.

Ive found an air hammer/chissel works best. Put it right on that inner ring of the stock rubber mount insert and go to town switching positions around the mount. Much better and a lot less messier than burning them out. I did this with mine and literally took about 5 minutes to chisel out all 3. Took the mounts home and pressed in the prothanes with a bench vise.

You really should peruse our How To/Tech Section. Get yourself an idea of what information is already well documented and written-up.

Further, try out the Search Function. It will help you out a great deal.

1) Advanced Search.

2) "motor+mount" as the Keyword

3) Search General Section only.

4) Bada-bing.

If you don't get the results you are lookiing for, try the same Search Criteria in a different specific section of the Forum. The next place that you could try would be....whatever platform (B13, B14 for you....) Section you are driving.

Don't just type a Search and let the engine search the entire forum, or you will get a bunch of non-specific non-related information.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.
