I would love, absolutely LOVE to hear what brands work!

Jimmy, what brand are the aftermarket axles that you get?

I can get basically any parts store axles you guys would want if you have a preference.

Personally I have been running the axles I am selling on my daily for close to 70K, which includes using 2 step on the street and the track.

If you are looking for a vouch you can talk to SuperblackZ as I installed a drivers side axle on his SCC car in the past and I will be installing the passenger side tomorrow night.

The place that makes them is a local vendor of mine and it is his "store brand" if you will.

They are new and not remanufactered, the only thing I have noticed is that the actual metal shafts aren't coated so if you are in the rust belt I would just paint them to protect them if your worried about the finish.

I can dig out my set of Driveshaft shop level 2 axles and post pictures comparing them tomorrow after I fix Steves car.

This worked really well when i was on the old worn down 24.5X9's that were down to the threads and on a less prepped track. Cut 1.68 60's.

It didnt work soo well with the 25X8.7's brand new m&h's at 8psi in the tires and on a very very good prepped track. lol.

Mine broke at the hub

Ive seen a couple break inside the trans and it was an easy fix. Just gotta pop out the drivers side axle and punch the broken piece out. It usually breaks right past the seal. Never any damage done to the diff. You must have been really unlucky then to damage your diff.

They were Chinese made most likely. The passenger side broke at an angle and damaged the spider gear. Then another time the drivers side started to twist between the LSD and the spider gear then broke so I couldn't get it out of the tranny. Ended up cutting the axle off by the seal to get the case apart. I have some used oem ones in now and so far they're holding up. That's what happens when you dead hook over 500hp with Chinese axles on two step.

Yep, I dont know what I was building for boost but basicly when the second yellow would lite up i would hammer the gas to the floor and let it bang the limiter and then as soon as the 3rd light lit. Dump and go. Works well on a not soo well prepped track where they kinda spin and grip at the same time. But yeah went to Firebird and their prep that night for their NHRA big dragster points series was just way too good. Would have been nice if the axle would have held or if it would have just broke it cuz it would have gripped like mad the rest of the way how sticky the track was. I got out to push the car and my feet were sticking to the ground like mad. lol.

The way a track should be prepped. Probably would have pulled a hell of a 60ft. That was preloaded as well. Nothing I could have done would have prevented it other than a lower rpm launch and a smoother transition of letting out the clutch which I started to get down on my last time out on the new setup. 6200 rpm two step, 6 lbs of boost building and let the tires just spring me off the line on a very heavy preload. Worked out great. 1.61 60ft still bogging just a bit.

All in all, OEM axles have always held up great. The axle that I broke has been in my car since the beginning and probably the original axle of the car being my car at that point only had 135k miles on it and only had 110k when i bought it back in 2006. I currently am using OEM Nissan Spec V axle shafts with OEM B13 outer CV joints. Held up to that 1.61 just fine. Im sure there is gonna be a limit. Im sure im gonna have to have DSS make me a custom set of performance axles down the road if these wont hold but the Spec V axles are beefy. The weakest point is the B13 outer with the smaller splines. We will see though. I think its more in the technique than anything that saves them.

I have a new (OR NEWLY REMANNED) and rare set of automatic LSD P10 RAXLE axles I posted to G20.net Never been installed or even removed from the box they came in. Asking $300.00 for the set shipped. I no longer have a working P10 G20t. I have attached a link to the thread on G20.net with pic links. Let me know people PM me.
