no more se-r RAXLES
just got off the phone w/Marty @ Raxles. i was looking to send my Raxles back for overhaul/warranty repair. seems they can't get parts anymore. plus, he didn't offer to refund even a portion of the original purchase cost. so much for a fxxxxxg lifetime warranty!
so, who's the best alternative. cutrate auto, autozone, pepboy's, napa...?

sent from my gxx dxxn home pc

I would call them back. A lifetime warranty is a fucking lifetime warranty. If they cant fix it, then they need to find someplace and buy you axles to replace youres every time they need replaced. Otherwise their going to get some lawsuits on their ass's and loose their business. Thats ridiculous. You dont offer a lifetime warranty if you cant do it.

Otherwise i think all the members here that have their products should warn them they will start a class action lawsuit against them, i bet that will make them figure somethign out.

autozone is the place to go, i have lifetime warrenty with them and the replace with no questions asked all the time (as long as its a obvious replacement), and ive never had to replace any axle that i got from them. to my knowledge i think they may be the only parts store that can get ser axles

That's funny... We knew that he was no longer selling them to us because he ran out of core returns (people didn't send them back).

But we figured if we sent in some OEM axles to work with, he'd not have the core return problem anymore, and could do his magic on the set we sent him. Teal97 in your case I don't see why your Raxles axles wouldn't count as OEM.

So bhowle called him up and said he had some OEM SE-R axles he'd like remanufactured, and would it be possible to send them in, have them done and sent back? He was told that would be no problem at all. This was maybe 10 days ago.

In the past "the parts" he didn't have were the core returns. The actual metal shafts themselves. If you send him yours, he should be able to work with them.

Is that not the case anymore?

Unbelievable. This fuckin pisses me off. I needed to send a passenger axle in that broke the same night when my flywheel ripped off. Unreal man, WTF! Also have a drive side Raxle that started knocking and thudding that I was going to send in.

he said he's had to turn down like 60 se-r owners (mainly racers) so far. he also said it was an issue getting quality parts to rebuild the joints, not the axle shafts themselves.
flood these guys with calls and emails, ppl. lets get to the truth!

I think you all need to call him and be heard and make sure its not the case ben stated abouve. Otherwise he could be facing alot of problems.

And costless and baxters auto local to the pnw can get axles, not just autzofail who i never go to up here.

Sounds like he might be turning down warranty claims ("I can't get quality parts"), but not new business ($$$)?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

(I never even knew they came with anything over a 1-year warranty to begin with. Lifetime? Jeez...)
