The timing is stock and if it were timing it would have to be detonation and it doesnt happen all the time.

got the same issue. 5 mins runs good, after fall into some mode -- wont rev past 1500 (NOT LIKE MAF, i disconnect maf and it wont rev past 2,800-3, some minutes later it wont rev 1500).

I have daughterboard installed, with jap rom inside.

Original ecu is 82f14, i put 82f00 rom to eliminate immobilizer.

I was thinking that it rom problem. BUT. I put THIS ecu with 82f00 to another s14a (full stock) -- it works fine. Any inputs? In limp mode car runs fine, just not rev past 1500.

exactly like this

did you found solution?

Car wont rev: only sometimes
hey guys. have the same problem with my jdm gtir.

i changed:

knock sensor, ecus, furl pump, complete engine loom, ign. cables, injectors, fuel filter, spark plugs, etc.

my problem is the same as yours and if its "normally" driving the ecu retards the ignition at wot from 0 to max. 18 deg.

i used 2 types of ecus. a jdm one and an eudm ecu. he eudm has a daughterboard with a standard map an 3 tuned ones.

the next thing i 'll change is the dizzy. i hope it will sort my problems.

has anyone of you guys an idea whats wrong?

thanks
