Startup Piston Slap??
Hey,
After I installed a new timing chain tensioner I've noticed when I start the car up, especially after having ran the engine and letting it rest for a few hours, at low RPM I can hear piston slap for about 2 seconds and then goes away. I'm not sure if it was the timing chain tensioner or just a coincidence or maybe just because the weather is getting hotter and oil thinner?? I recently switched to a 10w-40 oil and it's not AS noticeable. At least I don't hear it on cold start ups as much.
Anyone else have this? From what I've read it can be 'normal'?
Thanks!
