Thread: Keyless/alarm issue. Arming its self?!?

For the past week my car horn/alarm has been randomly going off its self. And i have had trouble unlocking the doors. Changed the battery about 1 year ago. But really how often should the battery be changed?

Im ordering a used FOB from ebay. But has anyone else had this issue? Its pretty random and weird. TiA

i had the same problem and it was the little grommet on the hood for the hood switch, it was missing

I checked that and no issues. But I'm wondering.... Last week I was working on trying to keep my hood from rattling like all hell from the vibrations. I.E prothanes....and I had to adjust the hood levelers. But I don't see how that would out of no where cause the car to trigger and start going off like that. That and the FOB not wanting to work all of a sudden.

I didn't notice and distance change once I changed the battery on the fob.
