Thread: questions about the countermeasure fuel sender unit

does it fix the stupid problem Nx's have where the first 40 miles on a tank makes the needle read 3/4 full and the other problem where the needle reads E, u can only put in 8.5 gallons? has anyone bought SENDER UNI :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com and confirmed it fixes these issues? it was documented in the TSBs

I've never heard of this......from e I've put in 10 gallons before it read full so idk...kind weird.

heres some old info on it, where i got my information, and my car seems to do this, so i wondered if anyone ever replaced their fuel sender and fixed this. Problems & Fixes: Inaccurate Fuel Guage

most of the time they get dirty, just clean them and put it back in.

Yeah, mine was 143k miles dirty. I attempted to clean the circuit board. I gave up though since the varnish was so bad. Well a month or so later I put a full can of seafoam in with a full tank. It super cleaned my entire fuel system so much that I had to change my fuel filter from all the trash washing out of the lines. It also cleaned the fuel sender I noticed that a few days later. Our tanks hold 13 gallons of gas if you didn't know.

seafoam is great. i gotta try that.
