Could be a loose connection, recheck all the main grounds and the connections on the alternator since it was just installed not too long ago. Make sure there are lock washers where there should be. I have also had customers that have had starters and alternators checked on those machines at chain stores and they check ok according to them. Problem with checking an alternator there is that it will be cold when you get there. Some only fail when they are hot. Also with a starter, the solenoid can intermittently fail or there can be a dead spot and they may not have hit it when they tested it on the super duper machine they have (I hate them as it is better to check on the car) Just to clarify, one click when you start the car or clicking. That will narrow it down as to whether or not it is low voltage causing the no start or a starter. A starter is one click and nothing, low voltage will most of the time cause it to click many times rather than just once. If I could hear what was happening I would be able to narrow it down to at least what system, starter or batt/charging as soon as I heard it but you have to do that. Any questions ask away!
