Yes Roller Rocker engine came in a couple different Nissan/Infiniti vehicles from 2000-2002 or so.

If you get that head code you could find out alot about your motor, also it was mentioned clean your maf its like 4 bucks for maf cleaner and it takes 5min and im sure your going to feel the diffrence before and after

things that could be tired due to mileage: fuel pump, MAF, 02 sensors, catalytic converter, etc.

Check for exhaust blockage. A simple test is to turn the car on and hold a piece of paper up to the tailpipe....if there is barely any flow, then your cat could be clogged.

LOL. Yes take some pics because this could be a different cylinder head/engine block combination. Upload the pics to here or to photobucket and then to here. Also you can follow "mynissanb13's" avice and look for the number stamped into the side of the cylinder head on the driver side of the engine by the distributor, at least that is a start.

But if you post pics lots of people will be able to tell you what you have in there from looking.

Tps voltage throttle closed should be .45. Between .4 and .5 iirc. Also check your maf and reground if necessary. You also need to reset the ecu after you change your knock to clear the code.

Trust they did a F'd up job..a ripped power steering hose,missing motor bolt and I forgot what else...what do you want me to take pictures of so I can do it on my break. Haha

Just take pics of the engine bay from the driver side, passenger side, and front. Just make sure they are not blurry.

that sensor looks like the intake air temp sensor...looks like the one in my buddies 98 altima....could be wrong tho.....does it throw any codes?
