Did you check to make sure the correct shims are in the correct place?? When I did cams this past weekend, I realized that one shim was grooved and the other was a very small cylinder with flat upper and lower surfaces.
they will only go on one way, lol grooved shim on the left leg and flat on the right leg

I believe it was a problem with the HLA. This motor was on a stand and I turned it upside down to work on the bottom end. I think by having it upside down I somehow got air in the HLAs. This was the end of my work on this problem.
