P0705 code...Why?
I happened to check my codes today... and notice that the normal rear o2 is still there but then popped up this one:

  • P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)
My question is. Why is this coming on with a 5 speed transmission? I thought this was just a sensor so the ecu knows when the auto transmission is in park or neutral. I did go ahead and erased the code for now waiting to see if it comes back.

So what do I do...replace the sensor?

Yes, neutral switch, or neutral switch wiring.

Hold your horses!

It is a Range Sensor Circuit malfunction!

Not sure what the transmission possibly could 'do to have to do with it' (wuddid)
