Tachometer install help
I just wanted to know what the best place was to wire a aftermarket tachometer. Now instructions say not to wire it to a msd coil which I have. I am not sure why they say this and i don't want to damage the tach. Has anyone wired one to a msd coil and had no problems? I want the most accurate signal going to the tach if possible.

Know what Titan, never mind, Looks like I have a (grey) tach output wire coming from the Msd box it self. Originally I had thought they deleted that from the newer cheaper boxes but I was wrong. I will tap it from there if that don't work I'll grab it from the harness like you suggested. Thanks alot bro!!!

if you have not done it yet, i got mine from the box. the 6AL i have has a tach specific output like yours. not sure what tach you have, i had a cheapo sunco back then that my brother had when he owned the car, i still used today as the rpm signal for my alarm.
