Thread: need mechanical transmission for turbo x-trail

I have turbo nissan x-trail with SR20VET motor, automatic transmission and electronic throttle. And I'm interesting in swap of mehcanical transmission

You mean standard transmission?

I'm interesting in every transmission which bes suit this engine and best suit nissan x-trail 4wd configuration if possible

Not sure you'd be able to find something "out of the box" for an X-Trail. It's the same as an Xterra if memory serves me well, so you may be able to find a standard transmission from an Xterra. The problem is getting the transmission to bolt up to the VE-T.

Only AWD Manual I know of for that power output would be a GTi-R transmission ... But you will have issues with the drive by wire throttle, as well as other issues with ECU codes for the missing auto. unless you can run some sort of Computer to get around it ...

X-trail is Transverse engine .... Xterra is not ...

GTi-R transmission it's not option. can I find companies who can make it stronger?
if I have manual transmission - I have not problem with ECU as I've already installed Autronic computer. I'll also replace electronic throttle by mechanical one.
by the way -do you now company who can manufacture transmission by customer needs?
