I must say that I've owned my car for more then half a year before I started modding it. Lets just say before I started modding it the only thing I knew, was how to change the oil

I've been modding my car for a year now, so I'm learning piece by piece hehe, more of from mistakes

But yeah, I wouldn't know the first thing about what is going on with the belts and pullyies because I've never dealt with them, but I guess it's time to learn... and next should be ECU stuff

Oh it's not cold right now, it was raining and I am working late....

Thats a good price...

I think I finally understand the secret code of the lights...

You have the Battery light on, and the Hand Brake on... so that means, Something with the Battery is Braking

But it would be terrible to be walking in the rain after getting off late.. Because if it is the alty, when it completely dies, your battery will be next immediately!!

Be sure you loosen the lower pivot bolt and the adjustment pivot bolt before you try to adjust it. I forgot once:

Haha thats how I felt when I was driving home, I live 5 minutes away...

Well I got home fine. My dad and I took a look at it, and the verdict is new alty and terminals... mine are cracking hehe

My dad and I checked the volts, and with th car off the battery was 12.6, with the car on it was 12.0

If we unplugged the negative terminal with the car on the car instantly died.

My dad said that it should be able to run with the battery unplugged, so it's def the Alternator. The thing it self looks old and probably never was changed.

Now I checked Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, Napa all of them only carry Re manufactured ones, and charge an arm and a leg for it!

I did a quick eBay search and came across couple brand new ones, what do you guys think?

1991-1993 Nissan NX2000 2.0L

1999-2002 Infiniti G20 2.0L

Now obviously I would prefer the cheaper one, but I heard that the 1999-2002 ones can come in 90amp over the 80 amp. If the 10 extra amps are worth it I might just go for it...

I ordered another Alternator from Andreas Miko, thank you very much Andreas and for the quick shipping!

I'll got the old one unbolted today before it got too dark. Is there a way I can take it out without removing the radiator hose? I don't want to bleed the system again

Also, my older alternator is a Hitachi, while the new one is a Mitsubishi. So I think I know why it broke so quickly

All I had to see was the battery gauge and the parking brake gauge light up, and know it's the alternator. Same IDENTICAL thing happened to me. My wife had to follow me home, and jump my car off about every 5 minutes.

+1x10^^^

MAF ground, main ground, all that stuff was good and helped idle and other things, but someone did me the favor of saying check the alternator. Belt was fine, alternator was not, even though I had checked it and it was not terrible, battery also showed on average 11.5 Volts output, battery <1 year old, too.

Replaced Alternator and no more problems, that was about 10 months ago. Lights flickered for awhile, etc., all that cleared up with the new alternator.
