engine breaking up at very light throttle

As title states. Cruising on off throttle (speed maintenance) the car is sputtering. Goes away when given more gas.

1991 NX2K
weapon-r filter/adapter.
Otherwise stock

Any ideas?

Vacuum leaks and/or MAF issues. Also check for leaking injectors and clean your grounds.
