You know I'm just busting your balls Benny. But how crazy would it be if we took a step backwards and made the old Gen1's.

Stupid question: Any chance on improving the Gen2 design for possibly a Gen3 design, specifically stiffer while maintaining the same drop and initial stiffness? In other words, change the progressive rate? I mean, I dunno who has the time to test springs but I thought that I would at least throw it on the table. For simplicity sake, Gen2s may be better, but I just wanted to ask while we have Rick on board here.

Rick can confirm, but I seriously doubt there will be any changes considered to the existing design. To do so would require prototypes, engineering costs, and everything else associated with it, which will add cost, complexity and delay to the process. Just figure on getting Gen2's.

You always bust my balls man but that's ok. I'll walk it off. Thanks for going down this rabbit-hole with us again.

Looks like we are losing momentum. Can we get a status report of the possible GB?

Mike, the RM's were essentially designed around the Hyperco parameters, as a less expensive and linear rate spring option to the Hyperco's. This came about when Hyperco's were as rare as hens teeth and GB's were failing.

I would be interested to hear a review of RM and even a comparison to hypercos by Mike K..That would be good info.

Somebody donate a set of RM to motoIQ

I got a chuckle as well.

I also know that Isfahan already knows this, but it was funny none-the-less....

Mike K is thee number one expert contributor to that Suspension Thread by a long shot. Followed by Steve (98sr20ve) and maybe veilside180sx (Rich).

I'm just a glorified librarian, author, and/or researcher. I have zero expertise other than what I learned while compiling the real forum expertise into one handy little Suspension Thread. That prints out at 80+ pages.

I’m listening, I hear you …… and all that I can say at this point is, stay tuned and give me a few days to get some details together.

If someone would please post a committed head count in the meantime, that would be much appreciated.

Everyone have a wonder and safe July 4th holiday.

Rick

I thought this was going nowhere, and now you and Chriscar pop up.

I already own a set of Hyperco Gen II's and only have one (1) B13.

Nevertheless, Jamanrr you can put me down on the GB for one (1) more set.

It will give me future options on another possible Classic, and it is not like Hyperco's depreciate. Folks usually start a bidding war on used sets.

My thoughts exactly. When would payment be required? I feel like if I can scrape up cash or borrow out of my student loans, the investment would be worth it.

updated list 13 commented so far. How many concrete people would you need before we can get this ordered?
