Hey guys, driving the b13 yesterday and heard a wierd noise my trans/clutch was making. first gear started to get hard to go into. All other gears go in fine, just going into first at a stop is what the problem is. The noise it was making went away, but the problem still persists. I checked the linkage this morning, and it felt kind of loose so I tightened it up. Tho im not sure if the linkage should be stiff or should it have slack in it, because my linkage u could literally move it around. Is this right or normal? Ive been reading on past threads that this could be a common issue, also the throwout bearing, or a bad spring in the disc.
I also put in a new 6puck sprung disc when I did my Ve swap which was about 2k miles ago. I didnt change out beatings or clips, tho the original owner of the cae said the clutch had been recently changed with nissan parts, which was true. Oem pressure plate and clutch looked new. I also did replace the flywheel with a 12lb flywheel.
I want to cover all the easy things first before I take down the trans. If u can lead me into the right direction or possibly share an old thread with pix on how the linkage should look, id greatly appreciate it..
